I tried to schedule an appointment, paid a deposit, and was then told that only patients could enter the clinic. I understand that if I just wanted someone for company, that would be fine. But I asked if I could bring my 6-year-old son because I had no one else to leave him with. He couldn't wait in the car or on the sidewalk while I waited for my appointment. I couldn't reschedule for a week when I could get a babysitter.

When I asked what to do, the receptionist said they had a policy and couldn't make exceptions. She offered to refund my deposit because they wouldn't let me in with a child unless they were also a patient. I'm really disappointed. This is a private clinic where you pay for services, so you expect some level of accommodation. I'm not asking anyone to babysit for me, but to consider the needs of patients.

What about someone with a disability or anxiety who needs a guide or company? I'm assuming they would also be turned away. I know I don't have to go to this clinic, but I wanted to share my experiance because I still can't believe how much their policy is unreasonable and doesn't consider patients at all.

Thank you for your response.
However, your answer suggests that you have legal obligations that force you to follow this policy, regardless of how unfair it seems. This isn't the case. Every medical practitioner has a legal duty of care to their patients ( public clinics, private clinics, dental clinics, aesthetic clinics, and the like).

Your decision not to accept non-patients at your premises is a policy you've chosen to avoid potential legal issues. This policy shows that you're prioritizing your own interests over those of your patients. This can disadvantage some people who need your services.

While I understand that you may not change your policy just because someone complains, there are other private clinics that accommodate patients who bring minor children.

For these reasons, I'm giving your clinic a one-star rating.

Byłam na badaniach w tej przychodni. Panie bardzo miłe. Przychodni bardzo czysta i przyjemna. Byłam z dwoma córkami. Ja i jedna z córek miałyśmy badania ,druga była jako osoba nam towarzyszaca. Pani powiedziała że musi zostać na zewnątrz ponieważ nie jest pacjentką. Było rano a jak wiadomo teraz jest bardzo zimno. Corka musiała zostać na zewnątrz na ławce. Z całym szacunkiem ale za badania zapłaciłyśmy w sumie 260 funtów. I nie fajne jest to że musiałam zostawić dziecko na zimnej ławce.,,era ,,covda minęła i to chyba lekka przsada żeby zdrowa osoba nie mogła poczekać na poczekalni środku budynku. Tym bardziej dziecko.

Witam. Byłam dzisiaj na wizycie ginekologicznej u Dr Zbigniewa Tkacza.
Bardzo profesjonalny i przemiły lekarz oraz wszyscy w klinice także . Pan Doktor odpowiedział na każde moje pytanie i powiedział bardzo dokladnie co dalej. Do zobaczenie niebawem. Dziekuje.

Very warm and welcoming place, everyone is kind, helpful and very professional. I went there initially for the blood test and my nurse was amazing, she immediately put me at ease and answered all my questions. Definitely worth recommendation, I will visit again 🙂

Chciałam umówić córkę do dermatologa przez tel,pani pytała o potrzebne dane.....no ok bo trzeba ale po chwili poinformowała o zaliczce no niby też ok,myślałam że wyślą mi dane do przelewu i po sprawie ale ku mojemu zaskoczeniu pani poprosiła o moje dane,w chwili zaślepienia podałam długi numer i date z karty ,zapytałam panią czy nie ma innej możliwości wpłacić ta zaliczkę bo ja podaje tak ważne dane komuś kogo nie znam i nie widzę i że nie jest to dla mnie normalne.A PANI MI NA TO BARDZO NIEGRZECZNIE ZE ONA WIDZI ZE NIC Z TEGO NIE BEDZIE I SIE ROZŁACZYŁA.Co za profesjonalizm.Napewno nie zostawię tego,I zamierzam zgłosić gdzieś ta cała sytuację.

I had an appointment with the gynaecologist at this clinic and I have to say my whole experience was more than unpleasant. From the check up to getting the results. There is no bed side manner and no proper follow up and patient care. I was given out bad lab results over the phone and in the middle of the conversation the call cut off, after which I phoned back and was rudely spoken to. The nurse I spoke to stated how doctor told me everything I need to know already, as in what more could I want to know about what he already told me. After this remark I said I have the right to ask questions about my health and was then told to call in a weeks time to discuss things further as the doctor is next in then.
It’s absolutely shocking how they are capable of dropping a bomb of news like that, then leaving a patient in the dark.
When I initially went for a check up I had questions about the test I was about to have and didn’t get much of a feedback, the doctor went for it without a thorough explanation and during this I experienced excruciating pain. This is to be expected considering the procedure (now I am aware of this), however, I wish I was properly warned and talked to about it. I was also jokingly called a worrier by the doctor because of my condition and my husband was asked how he puts up with me. Even if this was purely a benevolent comment, it definitely isn’t something a professional should say.
And lastly, the ultrasound I had wasn’t as accurate, there was a lot of discrepancies and I am saying this because I had surgery in my home country in less than a week after this gynaecologist examined me.
These people see you as a piggy bank and not a person, I am truly disappointed about the treatment.
If you are feeling desperate about Nhs not treating you, this is definitely not a place to turn to, don’t let them make money from your despair. A good give away of how you might get treated at Kal-Med is in the way they respond to negative feedback in reviews, they seem to have no willingness to improve their attitude and practice and that speaks volumes.
